Flutter Canvas

Visions of spring aren’t far from our thoughts with this Flutter Canvas. I am thrilled to be a Guest here at Memories and More for this Spring inspired canvas. Join me for this pretty little canvas where we will be colouring our hearts out to bring these butterflies to life. These realistic butterflies create the perfect specimen to display.

What I’ll bring; Sizzix Flutter die cut butterflies, 8x10 canvas, burlap, chip quotes, Oxide ink, assorted background stamps, hot glue gun, Precision Stamp Platform.

What you need to bring; Scissors, adhesive, glue dots, cutter, markers of your choice to colour the butterflies, background stamps if you have a favourite. Archival Jet Black for stamping or something similar like Momento

Believe Canvas
Guest Teacher: Nicole Wright

Time: 2:30 pm to 5 pm

Do you Believe? I love getting into all the layers with this canvas. Here we will be adding layers and dimension with gesso, distress crayons, stenciling and collaging. This 8x10 holiday inspired canvas would look great hanging on a wall, tucked into your tree or layered on a mantle. What a wonderful gift this would be just in time for Christmas.

What I will bring: I like to share… assortment distress crayons, gesso, distress collage medium, 8x10 canvas, ribbon, embellishments, assortment of pattern paper, burlap, paper dolls, distress markers, stencils, heat gun, die cuts, embossing powder, hot glue guns and baby wipes.

What you need to bring: Distress Crayons if you have them (reds and greens) paint brushes (1/2”-1”), baby wipes, paper trimmer, scissors, distress markers if you have them, favourite Christmas Paper and stencils (if you want) glue dots, adhesive and glue.


Class 3
Festive Vintage Trailer
Teacher: Nicole Wright
Date: Thursday, November 23rd
Time: 6 pm to 9 pm
Skill Level: Any
Cost: $55

This adorable Vintage Trailer is all decked out for the holidays. Sizzix Designer Eileen Hull has designed this adorable vintage trailer for any occasion. In this class we will build this vintage trailer and decorate with that festive flare. I’ll bring some mini decorations that you can rummage through and decorate your trailer. The perfect addition to any holiday decor.

What I will bring: Mat Board trailer die cut, assortment of festive papers, distress spray stain, trees, assortment of embellishments, mini led vintage lights (waiting for them to come in) distress oxide inks, hot glue gun and baby wipes.

What you need to bring: trimmer, scissors, really good sticky tape (to build the trailer) or I will have my hot glue guns, Glue Dots, distress oxide ink in reds (if you have them) and lots of giggles.
***I am still waiting to see if these vintage mini lights are going to come in. In event they don’t come in I have a back-up option of mini white led lights.

Landscape Alcohol Ink on Yupo, with Alice

 

Come and try something new or try it again. You will use a piece of Yupo paper to experiment with the alcohol inks and utensils. Then I will give you another piece of Yupo paper 6 X 9 Inches to create a landscape background using the alcohol inks, alcohol, and blender to get the colourful sky and water. We will let that dry while you are creating another landscape or abstract, your choice on a 6 X 6 inch ceramic tile. Once that is finished you go back to your landscape picture and put in the fine details that you want to complete your picture, such as; mountains, trees, boats. I supply all of the alcohol inks, Yupo paper, ceramic tiles, and other supplies that you can experiment with. Your projects will be sprayed with a sealer so they are ready to take home at the end of the workshop. You will need to bring an apron and your creativity. This class will accommodate beginners as well as seasoned alcohol ink painters.
